2011 Coaching Staff

Jeff Riegler - Head Swimming Coach, Sr. Group

Jeff Riegler is in his 11th year as the head swim coach at Westerville North High School. In 2007 he was named Central District Girls Division I Coach of the Year. Jeff previously coached with the Otters during the 2004, 2005, and 2007 through 2010 seasons. Jeff swam for Eastern Michigan University and is a former National High School record holder and US Masters Swimming champion.

Jill Simpson - Head Swimming Coach, Jr. Group

This is Jill’s 6th summer as an Otter coach. She swam for 12 years with Highland’s before becoming a part of the coaching staff. Jill swam on the WNHS varsity swim team for four years and she has just finished her third year at Ohio Wesleyan Univ. where she swam her first two years there on the varsity swim team.

Kirsten Evans - Head Diving Coach

Jenn Bichsel - Assistant Swim Coach

This is Jenn’s 3rd summer as an Otter’s Swim Coach. Jenn swam with the otters for 12 years and also swam on WNHS varsity swim team all four years of high school. She just finished her first year at Eastern Mich. Univ. where she followed in Coach Jeff’s footsteps and swam on the varsity team.

Nick Fout - Assistant Swim Coach

Nick is in his 2nd summer as a Highland Otter coach. Nick swam for the JC Poolcats for 4 years and coached them for 1 year before seeing the light and coming to coach for the right team. 8-) Nick swam for WSHS varsity swim team for four years and he has just finished his fourth year at Bowling Green State Univ.

Evan Straw - Assistant Swim Coach

This is the 4th summer Evan has been coaching with the Otter’s. Evan swam for the otters for 8 years before becoming a coach. He swam all four years for the WNHS varsity swim team and has just finished his first year at the Ohio State University.
